Great deicer - works in sloping to center concrete birdbath

This API birdbath deicer 200W is working great. I'm in east Texas and earlier in the winter when I didn't have the deicer, I saw the songbirds sitting on the birdbath edge at frozen water...just looking at it. I have been told providing water is more important than providing food to wild birds. I have a concreted birdbath that is sloped in an almost v-shape so I wasn't sure if there would be enough water to keep the deicer submerged. I put the deicer in the sloped birdbath yesterday and the water has not frozen since. I did have to sit a small rock on it to keep it weighed down on the slope. I also own the API heated birdbath with stand and between the 2, I prefer this deicer. Great quality, good value. Great service at JCWildlife.

I use the bird bath

I use the bird bath heaters in my dog bowls....they work perfect to keep the water from freezing over when it is freezing outside...the dogs and birds both drink from the water bowls during the winter.
