Golden Safflower, also known as Nutra Saff, is a safflower hybrid specifically developed for bird feeding to have a thinner hull (40% thinner) and higher levels of oil (15% more), protein (25% more), and fat (30% more) than traditional white safflower. It's easier and healthier for your birds to eat, and studies show that birds prefer it 2 to 1 over traditional safflower! It also tends to deter squirrels, grackles, and starlings with its bitter taste, although some individuals may adapt and eat it with time or in desperation.
